EXPERIENCE
Senior Estimator ‐ Cameron Construction | Salt Lake City, UT

· Completed hundreds of competitive bid private and public projects with an average
success ratio of 1 in 4.
· Successful conceptual estimating and cost control on multiple design/build projects
including a multi‐phase, 15 month country club master plan renovation
· Preliminary budgeting through subcontractor buyout on nearly a dozen 30,000 to
50,000 square foot projects in 8 western states for a national retailer.
· Extensive experience in hospital construction/renovation, automotive, service stations,
assisted living facilities, big box retail, tenant improvements, hospitality, and light
industrial (pre‐engineered metal buildings).
· Currently average 3 bids/progress budgets per week for new and current projects while
overseeing another estimator.

· Performed quantity takeoffs for numerous trades including, but not limited to: concrete,
masonry, rough carpentry, finishes, specialties, etc.
· Built close relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients.
Subcontractor relationships provided preferential treatment and additional support
during bid preparation.
· Developed a high level of trust with clients and company owners through consistent
estimate accuracy.
· Improved company estimating procedures by researching and implementing new
Invitation to Bid software.
· Instrumental in implementing company website upgrades and social media marketing

· Successfully completed three different interior renovation projects and continued
estimating part‐time.
· Projects included a renovation of 20,000 SF of office space on two floors, adding a
commercial kitchen, and a 7,000 SF freezer/cooler with structural foundations and steel
for a food bank expansion, and two packaging line projects for a pharmaceutical
distributor.

· Internship with the Headquarters Facilities Department working on projects in the 10+
buildings that make up the headquarters campus.
· Building types included a 30 story office building, a 6 story educational facility, a
museum, a library, pre‐1900 historic structures, and a 1.5 million square foot
conference center.
· Projects included complete interior renovations, roof replacements, parking lot
reconstruction, and others.
· Worked under 3 project managers and was responsible for scheduling, daily site visits,
project meeting notes, and project closeout documents
Carpenter ‐ Nichols Homes | Layton, UT

· Worked on a residential framing crew, framing custom homes from 1,500 to 12,000 SF.
· Worked as the lead carpenter on a 5,000 SF home and a 3,000 SF home.
· Worked on a complete Hispanic crew and was able to use my Spanish skills daily to
translate for owners and others

HONORS & AWARDS
· ABC Utah Chapter award for best renovation project 2013
· While pursing my degree in Construction Management, I participated in the Associated
Schools of Construction (ASC) Design‐Build Competition in Reno, Nevada. Our team was
required to prepare a preliminary design, cost analysis, and company background
information for an $80 million cancer treatment facility in Southern California. We then
presented to a panel of judges comprised of members of the construction company who
constructed the project and placed fifth out of ten schools.
